Following on the successful introduction of his Open House music format, Housto -- the philanthropist DJ of Houston-- and his colleague, DJ Farr -- the musical genius behind Armando’s legendary Thursdays -- have been invited to hold regularSunday Funday Open House parties that will benefit Covenant House Texas, a Montrose-area shelter for homeless youth aged 18 to 20. The venue for Sunday Funday is Sterling House in Midtown, the Inner Loop neighborhood known for its many dining and nightlife options. The events are co-promoted by Housto and Mode, and together they invite the finest crowd to come for the best house and electronic dance music (EDM) as well as the signature live remixes of Housto. Dancing not required but highly encouraged. Come discover the outdoor terrace, porch, restaurant and upstairs day club at Sterling House. Mix and mingle in a friendly atmosphere. Rain or shine, the event is from 4 to 8 pm. Entrance is FREE, and a significant portion of all food and beverage sales support the work of Covenant House Texas.
